There is always the same reaction from our customers: ‘your ornaments are amazing! I love your designs! That’s really a masterpiece! How do you make these? You definitely have some complicated machines, robots, and production lines!’
The funny thing is that we don’t. Every ornament that we produce is simply a piece of art. Joyland Factory is a team of artists – at every level of production. We design our ornaments from scratch. We make a mold which is used to mouth-blow glass ornaments, we paint them and finally, we pack them so you can receive something special and magical.
Before we start the production of a new item there is a meeting of the development team on which we discuss the ideas and suggestions – you can call it ‘brainstorm’. It’s a funny meeting with lots of food, coffee, and conversations. Of course, we start with crazy ideas and unrealistic projects and we slowly move to something more doable. We prepare some quick sketches and highlight what is the main aim of an item and we can start modeling.

Nowadays we model our ornaments using 3D technology. This way we can focus on tiny details and revise our ideas ‘on the go’. This is very important as there are always some comments and new suggestions that have to include in the design and if we were to do it all from the beginning it would take ages! And time is of the essence! Especially when we do some exclusive projects for our customers – nobody likes to wait and everyone wants to see their ideas brought to life quickly. And we are really good at that!
